Meet your maker

“Daddy, look at my creation!” — a prideful declaration both of my children have made before the age of five. To create something, and create it well offers one of the most powerful feelings of purpose and accomplishment, namely self-esteem. It carries forward the belief in one’s own abilities and self-worth. It nurtures identity, cultivates curiosity, defines the voice, and fosters courage and creativity…at least it has for me.
